The excited shepherd to his love and the nymph s

Pastoral poetry is defined as poems professing to portray the innocence of shepherd existence, according to a specific fictional convention. An additional difference that we noticed is usually, in the “Passionate Shepherd to His Love, ” Marlowe reflects on the positive prospect towards his potential marriage while Raleigh reflected on the more adverse tone in the “Nymph’s Reply to the Shepherd. ” Marlowe refers to the positive beginnings that spring provides with it as Raleigh reflected on the negative endings; cold and harsh like the winter wind flow.

As one is able to see there are several similarities and differences in the two poems. In summary Raleigh and Marlowe were both incredibly talented writers of the Early on Renaissance period and put a basis for William shakespeare even though we were holding not as popular as he was and still is definitely today.
