POEM: THE VOICE BY SIMPLY THOMAS ROBUST What is the genre with this poem? In my experience this poem speaks regarding “Woman Very much Missed” Which means there is someone very special to the poet that is very much missed , is no longer noticed. The composition has a perception of Memory, Depression, Sadness , Death. What is the tone of voice? The tone of voice is rather Nostalgic, Emotive and Stressed.
Because he says “Let me view you, then, Standing up as while i drew near to the town Where you would await me: certainly as I realized you then, “
What is the theme? The theme is pretty about like and a great loss. Since it says “Saying that now you aren’t as you had been, When you had changed from the one who was all to me” Precisely what is the framework? The structure is rather Emphatic, because he highlights when he says “How you call in my opinion, call to me” twice. What is the setting? The setting is within a rather sad , depressed/scared mood. He says “Thus We, faltering forward” shows he’s fear to move on devoid of this female. What is the Image being Portrayed?
The poet person is setting a rather mysterious/miserable image. Secret because when he says “Can it end up being you that we hear? ” It causes you to wonder if the poet goes mad. Gloomy because he shows how much he misses this woman simply by saying “Woman much missed” What is the important thing Statement? The real key statement in my opinion is in the title because the title in itself makes you reason away what the poem is about. The title is THE TONE OF VOICE, this name would make myself ask, So why the voice?, Who is the voice? How about the tone of voice? So to put it briefly it’s everything regarding the voice. What is the sound being described? The impression being portrayed to me is that life is all about love and this life simply cannot continue with no it, for others. What is the Language use? The poet is definitely using the dialect rather narratively because rather than describing his emotions he’s narrating the events that are happening e. g. “Traveling across the wet mead to me here” What are the qualities that resonate/evoke with all the reader?
The poem is pretty much personal because he says “Woman very much missed, how you will call to my opinion call to me” which in turn confirms the poets like for someone absent. He indirectly channels you to his feelings through someone else. In the third stanza he begins to question the authenticity of the voice. “Can it always be you that we hear? ” The poet person uses a mixture of alliteration and assonance to guideaid you with these types of lines. What is the value of this kind of poem? Benefit the people you like for you by no means know what the future holds to suit your needs or your spouse/partner in every area of your life.
