The trip made me realize that someday we might run out of fossil fuels and society must utilize renewable energy sources.

Resulting from that trip, I try to stay educated on solar energy and breeze energy, so I can someday harness my own renewable energy and become significantly less dependent on essential oil and fossil fuel. The morning started out with the tour bus ride for the farm. My own classmates were all speaking or undertaking homework. I recall I seated with my best friend playing a card video game to help complete the time to get the two hour trip. Once we pulled up to the farm all you could observe for at least two miles in each path were these kinds of huge windmill looking towers.

The farm building was simply a big wide open field together with the wind towers scattered across. My class and I were able to get off the bus and go be noticeable next to just one of the towers. Now when I say these systems were large I mean they were just massive. Standing out by tower was obviously a crazy encounter, it was the 1st time I’d seen anything like it. The tour guide said the bases had been over 200 feet high and the rotor blades on the towers were around one hundred foot long.
