The character Ophelia in William Shakespeares play Hamlet plays an extremely interesting and important role inside the elaboration with the plot. At first, she begins in a healthful state of mind, fond of her sweetheart Hamlet, however controlled by her father in regard to all their relationship. During the play she encounters several troubling experiences involving Hamlet which cause her to become distressed.
