If an individual has been charged of something which is punishable whether civilly or criminally, he will perform everything in order to be able to get past the trial, even resorting to escape.
Regarding the value of the law, Socrates has shown his strong standpoint about respect to the decisions. Intended for him, in the event one has the ability to choose whether to comply with a regulation, then it is a way of doing damage to the power of legislation. He considered disobeying legislation as unjust because the persons and the rules should go collectively. The law is not going to exist without the people and vice versa. If he will escape, then, he may disobey what the law states. He presumed that this brings him within a wobbly situation in his your life after death. Again, if we are going to read the New Testament, the responsibilities towards point out authorities can be mentioned in Romans 13: 1-7
Everyone must follow state authorities because simply no authority exists without God’s permission, as well as the existing government bodies have been set there by God. Whoever opposes the present authority opposes what Goodness has purchased; and anyone who does and so will bring wisdom on himself. For rulers are not to become feared simply by those who excel, but by simply those who perform evil. Do you wish to be unafraid of the man in expert? Then perform what is good, and he can praise you, because he is usually God’s servant working for the own great. But if you do evil, then be afraid of him, since his power to punish is real. He is God’s servant and carries out God’s abuse on individuals who do nasty. For this reason you must obey the authorities – not just as a result of God’s consequence, but also as a couple of conscience. That is also for what reason you shell out taxes, because the authorities will work for God when they match their responsibilities. Pay, then, what you owe all of them; pay these people your personal and property fees, and show admiration and prize for them almost all. “
With regard to Confucius’ teachings, it has a little bit of similarity with Socrates’ philosophical view in terms of the society’s attitude which is respect to get the rules of truth.
