I had formed the opportunity to interview an E. M. T. The Electronic. M. Big t. I
decided to interview was my friend Ellen from the Highland
lakes team. I chose to interview him because it is much easier for
me to talk to an individual I know than someone I actually dont find out
and also I desired to find out whats its like being an Electronic. M. Capital t.
from a teenagers viewpoint. Q: For what reason did you become an
At the. M. T.? A: I enjoy helping people, and I sensed that I wanted
to be able to do more than just standard first aid and cpr. Queen:
What does this mean being on call? A: It means that if the
pager goes off you are the individual that responds to the call.
You cant leave your area mainly because you have to stay available
in case the pagers perform go off. Queen: How does as an E. M. T. have an effect on
your personal lifestyle? A: This doesnt actually affect my personal life
too much. The only period it really will is if the pager goes off
and Im on call however have to end what I was doin and
respond to the phone call, or easily come across a great accadent Need to
stop and help. Q: In Vernon what kind of accadents do you
usually see? A: The most common kind of accadent I realize is
persons havin difficulties breathing, or people who cant breath
things such as that. Queen: What is the worst accadent youve at any time
seen? A: The most detrimental accadent Ive ever viewed was a car
accadent where there was a patient who couldnt remember
anything at all even once i told him the same thing over and over
again this individual couldnt remember what I told him. Queen: What
takes place if the patient is someone you know? A: My spouse and i try to treat
the victim like any various other victim, although Im even more nervious regarding
messing up somthing or undertaking somthin wrong. The sufferer
though will often feel convenient when somebody
they know is there with them. Q: What do you do with the
scene of the accadent? A: We deal with the victims, and travel
them to a healthcare facility as fast as we can. Q: What do you think
on the way to a call? A: I usually provide an adrenalin run, and
my body feels like their going 100 times faster than typical.
Thats regarding it though. Q: Do you like being an E. M. T. and
why? A: Yes, I love being an Electronic. M. Capital t. I like the sensation I get
from assisting others which have been in need of help. Q: What
happens should you be at a call and another call up comes in? A: If a
contact comes in if you are at a call you’ll certainly be dispatched to
the different call when you finish the main one you have reached otherwise if perhaps
its difficult for you to react to the seccond call they will
will mail another device for the seccond call up. Q:
Approximatly how various calls weekly do you enter
Vernon? A: I usually get about a few per week when ever
Im on call, but the team can get either a lot or possibly a little
ammount of phone calls. Q: Just how many days per week are you upon
call? A: Im usually on call 1 or 2 days durning the week
and sometimes some day on the saturdays and sundays. After doin this
interview with my buddy Matt I know it could be entertaining, but
effort to be a great E. Meters. T. Peoples lives are according to
you, of course, if you make an error someone can die. Im glad
you will find people like my friend Matt that want to get an
E. M. T, but My spouse and i sure wouldnt want to be one particular.
