‘Happy Birthday, 1951’ is known as a short history written by Kurt Vonnegut. The storyplot takes place in Dresden in Germany. The story is essentially about an old person that continuously tries to train a six year old young man, how he believe the earth should be just like. The title ‘Happy Birthday, 1951’ refers to twenty-four October 51 where the U. S. Leader Harry Truman declares which the war with Germany is usually officially over. That also elucidate how come the military are going out of the city. During the World War II, Dresden was inundated by United kingdom and American aircraft and the whole town was totally destroyed.

That explains so why the old man and the young man live in the ruins in Dresden. In those days people aren’t live in metropolis without paperwork, since the youngster doesn’t have paperwork the old person asks him when he wants his birthday to be, the boy answers that this individual wants it to be the next day.

The old gentleman decides to provide him a memorable present for birthday, as a birthday present he determines that they are likely to a calm place devoid of war.
