Latino community commanders want to accomplish equality in the us for Latino-Americans and foreign nationals, but they desire to preserve all their cultural uniqueness and customs in the same way that other migrant groups did in America. As the academic options that are today open to Latinos in America are encouraging, as well as the career opportunities that are becoming available through alternative question resolution is helpful, Latinos are still struggling, as has just about every immigrant in American contemporary society, with maintaining their personality as a social group. Retention, Latino professionals hold, is a great thing, but loss of ethnic identity is usually not (119). So generally there remains an emphasis on assisting the Latino community acknowledge and to celebrate its own personality.
