Mr. Darcy, as one of the main characters, is for the better part

Darcy provides such an increased opinion of himself that he does not care

what others consider him or perhaps his prideful actions. This individual believes that he

is the best in each and every way possible and finds that his standing in

society gives him the right to be critical of people not as excellent like

this individual.

At the Bennet, the other main character in the novel, is just

while guilty of getting proud as any of the other personas in the novel.

She prides very little on staying unprejudiced and rational in the judgement

of others.

Yet, this can be an fabricated quality while she discovers that her

preconceived notions of both Mr. Darcy and Mr. Wickham turn out to be

false. She is also very very pleased when Darcy confronts her about her

as well as connections.

Although Darcy s claims of the

unsophistication of certain of her members of the family are true, Elizabeth

touch of vanity permits him to change himself for her. Elizabeth

while seeing the changes of Darcy, realizes that she, as well

has become guilty of excessive pride. She sees that she was indeed

family. Darcy and Elizabeth are able to conquer their satisfaction which

enables them to live happily at any time after.
