Tom was a good, reasonable person. Sure he previously been locked in Jail for 4

years, although that was only because he got in a drunken fight and murdered a man with a

shovel. Yet Tom was only guarding himself, he didnt indicate to kill the man, but he would.

In jail, Tom held to himself and couldnt talk much. He almost certainly figured that was the

simply way he was going to get from prison sooner. And his endurance paid off, as they

was released in four years, instead of eight. When Tom got home, this individual realized that

a lot of serious considering before he decided to leave. Since he was out on losung, he can

his sentence. However Tom noticed that his family members needed him with these people, so this individual decided to go

with them. Besides, Tom thought that in the event he only did not enter into any trouble in California

At the govt camp, existence was good. There were bathing rooms, showers, and places

to clean clothes. Jeff and his family lived to get only monthly. They would have got stayed

longer, but the relatives could not discover work. Thus Tom fantastic family set off. They had

been aware of some conceivable work not really too far apart. When they have to Hooper Ranch, the police

lined them up on the road and dispatched them into the ranch. The job there isnt so

to two and a half cents. Well after Tom had been beaten so that he would, he returned

to his shelter and told his family what had took place. They all decided that they should certainly

finally Tom decided. He probably realized that he would be better away with his relatives for

the time being. So the Joad family left Hooper Farm and set off to anywhere else. About

the road, the Joad friends and family found a place where there were many forgotten boxcars where

they may live. They settled down there and commenced looking for a task. They discovered a job

choosing cotton, yet that work soon was gone because of all the people that were choosing.

Tom alternatively, was concealing. He had decided with his mom to stay concealed at

least until his wounds recovered up. Ben didnt just like the idea, this individual still desired going away

somewhere in the own, but he decided to stay. Toms secrecy was soon broken when his

sister Ruthie had endangered a girl that her your government would pummelled the additional girls
