The story “The Secret Life of Walter Mitty” is actually a tragic history. In my opinion, Mitty is unsatisfied with his actual life so dream life is his secret life. He won’t like actual and the role he plays in life. Mitty is uncertain of what he is performing in his real life. As in his fantasy life when he was a pilot and the commander bought him to pass through hurricane, Mitty in his actual life drives the car too fast.
He is lost in fantasy your life and is certainly not focusing very much in his actual life. The disaster is he will never obtain the dreams that he is dreaming about. This individual spends additional time day fantasizing in fantasy world than paying attention in the real life. If he was fed up driving, using the day hoping to see becoming different types of things. All fantasies of Mitty had been incomplete by the end and failed to reach a conclusion therefore the reader more than likely know if perhaps he accomplished victory of loss.
The fantasies had been interrupted in most situations. When ever Mitty was driving the auto too fast his wife says, “Not thus fast! If you’re driving too quickly! What are you driving too quickly for? ” This shows that Mitty is usually not concerned about what he is doing in actual life nevertheless he in the character of the person in fantasy. In fantasy, Mitty becomes the character of initial, surgeon, being in court room, Air force initial, etc . Yet he is unsure or self-confident about what he is doing in his actual life. He’s lost in fantasy world and does not pay attention to what is going on around him. In imagination life Mitty is really striking, brave, liked and respected by many people but it really does not apply to real life as they is a common person. He is dreaming of getting special and valuable person. But persons around him are making entertaining of him and having a laugh at him in actual life. His better half is bossy so he has to agree to whatever the girl tells him and he can not happy with his life. Mitty was informed by his wife to push slowly, reminded by parking lot attended when he was driving a car in wrong lane, ladies who was completing by laughed as he explained “Puppy Biscuit” to him self. And the ladies thought he was crazy for stating puppy biscuit for no reason.
Mrs. Mitty attempted to find Mr. Mitty although couldn’t find anywhere and when she detects him soaking in old couch she said, “I’m likely to take the temperature after i get you home” Mitty is completely outclassed by his wife and he has to get reminded by his wife to accomplish things appropriately. Mitty is absent-minded drivers and he forgets items easily. Mitty bought overshoes but this individual couldn’t remember the various other thing his wife acquired told him to buy. This individual has stress in his life and he tries hard to remember second his wife had told his to obtain as Mrs. Mitty experienced told him two times prior to leaving.
He hated these types of weekly journeys to city as he was always getting something wrong. When ever Mitty is at the store he couldn’t bear in mind the brand of puppy biscuit so this individual describes it. He wants his the past back in which he could carry out many things great he is older and his wife reminds him he is not really a young man any longer. Mitty is dreaming each of the good qualities he doesn’t have. Therefore , the story is tragic as they doesn’t just like his real life as it is uninteresting so he can lost in his fantasies and he is always disturbed towards the end of his fantasy, his wife is bossy therefore he has to follow his wife’s instruction, he will not have the characteristics he dreams which this individual really wants like a person.
