The Professional Legislation Commission just lately came out with the “Revised Suggestions on the Continuous Professional Expansion Program for all those Registered and Licensed Professionals” through Quality No . 2013-774 series of 2013. The resolution adopted by the PRC can be described as revision with the guidelines for the Continuing Professional Education Development which is now known as “Continuing Professional Advancement Program Guidelines” or the “CPD Guidelines”. Starting August 12, 2013, the effectivity from the resolution, it includes these objectives:

  • Continuously improve the quality of the country’s reservoir of registered professionals simply by updating them on the latest scientific/technological/ethical and other applicable styles in the local and global practice of the professions
  • Provide support to long term learning inside the enhancement of competencies of Filipino experts towards delivery of top quality and honest services both locally and globally
  • Deliver quality carrying on professional expansion activities aligned with the Filipino Qualifications Platform for nationwide relevance and global assessment and competitiveness.
  • In respect to Salandanan, (2007), educators define educating as an aggregate of organized educational methodologies geared towards achieving a desired learning objective. As a moral activity, teaching is a way in which positive behaviour and beliefs are inculcated. It focuses on that educators should adhere to the specialist and ethical principles put in the educators code of ethics.

    According to the Filipino Teachers Professionalization Act of 1994, educating has become a authentic profession. It is at doble with vocations like treatments, law, medical, engineering etc. The Code of Ethics for Specialist Teachers, Document IV, Section 3 declares that __every teacher shall participate in the continuing professional education system of the Professional Regulation Commission rate and shall pursue such studies that may improve the performance, enhance the prestige of the profession, strengthen his competence, virtues, and productivity in order to be country wide and internationally competitive.
