This essay will check out the three significant socialization points of views on this issue, the interactionist perspective, the conflict point of view, and the functionalist perspective. Every single perspective will offer a greater perception on how contemporary society reasons. The functionalist perspective is described as “a sociological approach that emphasizes the way the areas of a culture are organised to maintain its stability. (Schaefer 440) Within the topic of HIV/AIDS, a functionalist will likely focus on just how this issue features affected medical for those contaminated with the disease.

Without proper healthcare, there will be a sociological disproportion. So to be able to bring back harmony and stability, other alternatives have to be set up. An interactionist perspective looks at an issue on a small scale (micro) than the discord and functionalist perspective. The interactionist is described as “a sociological approach that generalizes about everyday types of social conversation in order to clarify society being a whole. Schaefer 441) The HIV/AIDS pandemic on a micro level was predicted which the outbreak “would lead to an even more conservative sexual climate among both homosexuals and heterosexuals, in which persons would be considerably more cautious about turning out to be involved with fresh partners.  (Schaefer 395) However , figures have shown quite the opposite. “People in the usa have not heeded precautions regarding “safe sexual.  Info from studies conducted in the early nineties indicated an increasing complacency about AIDS, possibly among those who were most vulnerable.  (Schaefer 395)

To conclude, no sociological perspective or way is the correct method of browsing society as a whole. It is best to take a little bit of every single perspective.
