Continuing to learn “I Understand Why the Caged Fowl Sings” by simply Maya Angelou, I can notice that the story consists of a few certain archetypes. Such as the character “Momma” being the wise old woman, the archetype in the color “Black” and the story being the archetype of actually finding home

The first archetype is Maya’s grandmother often known as “Momma”, being the wise old females. Maya thinks her as a very stern and religious woman, but very effective, proud and loving. Momma gives Cyber advice and acts like her mom. Her tips is not always words and lectures, it is sometimes through actions. Maya is impressed with her grandmother’s determination and says, “Momma walked because room like she possessed it” (Angelou, 189). The quote presents her grandma’s persistence and “old lady” attitude. The book also talks about other folks having a specific view on the planet and how are you affected in this and some of those people is definitely Momma. The storyplot states “They basked in the righteousness from the poor and the exclusiveness in the downtrodden. Area white people have their money and electric power and segregation and sarcasm and big homes and schools and yards like carpets, and ebooks, and generally ” generally ” be sure to let them have their whiteness.
