Deadly Unna by Phillip Gwyn can be described as story about the companionship between two boys set up in a small country town in the 1980’s Southern region Australia. Gary Black (or Blacky) may be the protagonist, a fifteen year old boy with many bros, who grows and matures. He becomes highly mindful of racism inside the small country town against aboriginal people, as well as a great many other issues during the span of the new.

Through out the story he meets a girl called Cathy that he gets smitten by, this individual looses his friend Dumby because he passed away in a capture out straight down by the club, so this individual drastically grows as the novel progress.
