When comparing the civilizations of Egypt and Mesopotamia during 8, 500 BCE to 1, 000 BCE, there are many comparison. One way by which they are comparable was that that they both captive-raised next to fertile estuaries and rivers. One way in which they are distinct was that both equally their operate partners had been different.

A method in which they are really similar is that they equally farmed. The Egypt civilization was located all over the Nile Lake, while the Mesopotamia civilization was located by Tigris and Euphrates estuaries and rivers.

The Egypt civilization’s location on the Nile River was obviously a good place because the Nile River inundated regularly. If the Nile Water would ton, the flood would provide slit from additional up the riv and fertilize the ground for farming. The Tigris and Euphrates rivers did flood, but when that they flooded it might be violent for the reason that river current is stronger than the Nile’s.

The Mesopotamia civilization developed canals and dikes for flood control. Another likeness between the Egypt and the Mesopotamia civilizations was their Faith.

Both Egypt and Mesopotamia were polytheistic. The leaders in two cultures believed to be related to the gods because of the prosperity and power they had in the civilizations. The 2 civilizations as well built temples or wats to reward their the almighty. The Mesopotamia civilization built a temple called Ziggurats to praise their goodness, while the Egypt civilization developed temples known as pyramids to praise their particular god. They will made the ziggurats out of dried out mud stones while the pyramids were made away of limestone. The Egypt civilization believed that the pyramids they constructed protected the afterlife.

One of the ways in which they may be different was that both their trade partners were several. The Egypt civilization traded with generally the Mesopotamia civilization and Africa, although Mesopotamia had a wide range of trading partners. An additional difference the two civilizations got was their particular technology. The Mesopotamia civilization developed around 8, 000 B. C. The Mesopotamia civilization invented many things, including; the wheel, water sources, and the 1st written terminology, and many more things. Asimilarity between two cultures is that they bother had slavery, but the two civilizations used their slaves differently. In the Egypt world they employed their slaves to build pyramids. The slaves were not the sole ones helping building the pyramids, everyone except the leaders developed the pyramids. If you lived in the Egypt civilization of course, if you had a specialized work, you would still have to help build the pyramids, it is basically like taxes. In the Mesopotamia civilization, the king would make slaves work in his fields.

As stated above, there are many commonalities between the Egypt and Mesopotamia civilizations. The similarities and differences included; religion, Farming, locations factors, technology, trading partners, and also slavery.
